The first country to start using the internet was the United States in 1969.

Internet Founder

Theodore J. Vail was born on October 24, 1871 in New York City. Vail's early education was in the public schools of New York City.

In 1892, Vail started his own business, The American Telegraph and Telephone Company (AT&T). AT&T grew rapidly and became one of the largest companies in the world.

In 1915, Vail started the Radio Corporation of America (RCA). RCA became one of the largest radio companies in the world.

In 1934, Vail started the Telegraph Corporation of America (TCA). TCA became one of the largest cable companies in the world.

Vail died on October 26, 1957. He was 86 years old.
