Squirrel mainly live in coniferous , deciduous and mixed forests

Squirrel prefer to eat , nuts , acorns and  berries. Sometimes they raid birds nests and eat the eggs.

Squirrel have Bushy tail , tufts ear , red , gray , brown or black fur. Their bushy tail is 38-40 inch long. 

Squirrel use their bushy tail for balance and as a rudder (jumping) . They also use it for communication and as protection (against the cold)

Squirrel build a nest for sleeping and to raise their young. It's called 'drey'. Before winter they store food, switch to thicker, darker winter coat , grow larger ear-tufts (Some squirrels).

Squirrels find buried nuts by their smell, marking the environment , memorizing their locations.

On short distances , they can run up to 15mph  (25 km/h).

Lifespan of Squirrel is 2-8 year in wild. Their enemies are weasels , eagles , hawks , snakes.

When squirrels bury nuts for winter , they accidently plane new trees.

A squirrels brain is only the size of a walnut.
