1. Sattvic : Means vegetables , juices , and such lightly cooked food that keeps our body refreshed and positive.
2. Rajasic : Oily and Spicy food comes under this category which gives us both energy and taste.
3. Tamasic : Non-veg and alcohol which is quite over-processed and also difficult to digest.
Apart from this there are six different types of tastes in Indian cuisine :
Sweet(madhura) , salty(lavana) , sour(amala) , pungent(katu),bitter(tikla) and astrigent(kasya).
Without hot and Spicy taste it won't be called as Indian Food. But eating too much spice might cause acidity issues.
One of the most well like chilies of the planet is found in Asian nation , Bhut Jolokia or Naga Jolokia. It is grown in the norther eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam , Nagaland , and is four hundred times hotter than the recent Tabasco.
